A Wedding Update

Hey gang,
Finally stopping in and doing my March post... too bad it is my first one of the month and probably going to be my only one. For sure failing on that resolution. My of my time has been sucked up with planning for our upcoming wedding ceremony. Who knew so much planning went along with something that I've looked forward to for so long. Before we got engaged, I was sure I knew exactly what kind of wedding I wanted... After the engagement that all changed. The exciting part is we finally ordered and received our actual wedding invitations, yay! We have also officially figured out what we want to do for flowers and center pieces, I swear that was one of the hardest parts.AND almost all of the moms have their dresses, three BIG cheers for that one!
My wedding dress is in and getting altered and Mr. E has already ordered his tux, as has my dad. Right now we are working on the final details... wedding jewelry/ shoes for me and the bridesmaids, final touches on planning the rehearsal dinner, actually working on the decorations now that we have decided what we are going to use, putting together our wedding favors, and the list goes on. My bridal shower is coming up pretty quickly and then before we know it, May 24, 2014 will be here!
Mr. E's mom is on her way to visit and help with getting all of the invitations and such together to send out this weekend. I don't know what we would do without the help that our families have been willing to pitch in. I really don't think we could do it without them.
Now on to non-wedding related issues. We recently found out that my uncle's house caught fire. It seems like it will need a lot of work, but they may be able to salvage some of it. Any and all prayers or positive thoughts would help out a ton for their family as they strive to put their lives back together.
I think that pretty much catches everyone up on what is going on in our lives. I'm waiting to hear back from work to see if I got the department change that I interviewed for but while I'm waiting, one of my supervisors requested that I get trained on a couple different types of calls. I'm all for learning new things, so I'm pretty ok with the training.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Cheers,

So...About those resolutions...

Hey gang,
One of my main resolutions for 2014 was to blog once a week, obviously that hasn't happened and it was only the first month! I'm going to rewrite that specific resolution and try to blog 2 times a month. Hopefully that will make it a little easier to keep everyone up to date on what is going on in Mr. E and I's lives.

We received pretty awesome news and Mr.E will now be going to boot camp in July, which means we can officially start planning the wedding celebration we have been wanting to on May 24, 2014! We officially have our venue, photographer, my dress and our cupcakes but that leaves A LOT to finish planning in a very short time. Get excited to hear a lot about the wedding planning process in the next couple months.

Both Mr. E and I have been spending a lot of time working and I have done a pretty good job of sticking with my other resolutions, working out 2 times a week, and I have already finished 4 books towards my 50 book goal for the year. Eventually I hope to be able to do reviews of the books that I have read, but right now I'm pretty focused on the wedding planning process.

Hope all is well with those who have started following this blog.
Cheers,

Livin' the dream

This past week was a pretty busy week. I worked 52.5 hours and finally can enjoy my 2 days off. So far I'm still going strong on the 2 workouts a week. Mr. E and I are heading out in a little bit to go to a yoga session at the Y. I'm pretty darn excited.

For Christmas we both got Christmas money and we decided to each be selfish with it. Mr. E bought himself some new running shoes, and I bought some new Vera Bradley products that I had been drooling over for the last year. We were both pretty excited.

My birthday is coming up this month and the one thing I asked for from Mr. E was a new FitBit watch to help motivate me to keep exercising and moving around. He researched them and liked them so much, that he ordered us both bands. I can't wait to try it out and write a review!

Hope all is well.

Good-Bye 2013; Hello 2014

2013 was a pretty awesome year for Mr. E and I. We ran our second Tough Mudder in April, graduated in May with our degrees, celebrated Notorious P.U.G's first birthday in July, got engaged in September, started adult jobs in August, Mr. E joined the navy in August, and had a lot of fun with friends and family.  It was a pretty crazy year and seems to have lead us to an even busier 2014. So...
For 2014, I have decided to do something I haven't really ever followed through on  I'm going to make resolutions, and actually DO them. Here are the main three...
1. Blog 1 time a week- with such a busy life it will be great to have somewhere to process everything that is going on.
2. Work out 2 times a week- finding motivation to work out after 55 hour work weeks is rough
3. Read 50 books by 2015- these will be everything from trashy romance novels to non-fiction, pretty much anything that sounds interesting and can keep my attention.

These resolutions seem pretty simple, so I should be ok.

Cheers!
